ABOUT HIS WORK

Kram creates large-scale, contemporary mix media  paintings that are built up through multiple layers of oil paint creating messages that speak to each individual viewing the painting.

Kram explores spontaneous marks and subtle  forms through abstraction. Layers are a key component to his style and the reoccurrence of specific brush stokes repeat throughout his paintings, acting as a sort of visual vocabulary-a secret language. Standing before one of his paintings, contoured shapes emerge from the abstract.  The viewer is witness to forms unfolding, creating new visual possibilities.
